Lighting the Subject
Light is the key to photography. Understanding lighting makes a photographer uniquely creative. This course looks at different types of lighting and how it can be used to create more beautiful photographs. Do you know what the "golden hour" is and how to use it to create eye-catching images? How about fireworks or the neon lights at a carnival? Ever wonder why your snow scenes look blue? Learn how to control light and choose the best type of lighting for your subject/scene. Time is spent on dealing with color casts for both film and digital cameras, including white balance. The class also covers flash photography and the basics of using tungsten or strobe lights in a home studio.
