Dates: May 23-26
Schedule: The workshop starts Friday evening, runs all day Saturday and Sunday
                      and has an optional extension Monday morning.
Friday (23rd): 7:00 - 9:00 pm
We’ll start the workshop with a chance for you to meet the instructors, a brief instruction
session and an overview of the workshop.
Saturday (24th): Sunrise to 5:00 pm
Morning and afternoon photo sessions at Meadowlark. Lectures in between photo sessions.
Sunday (25th): Sunrise to 7:00 pm
Morning photo session at Great Falls National Park. Lectures following photo session.
Critiques in the afternoon. Workshop finishes up early evening.
Monday (26th): 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, Optional workshop extension ($25 extra).
Morning lecture on bird photography and photo session with hawks and owls from the
Raptor Conservancy of Virginia.

Full Package
Spend a weekend at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens improving your nature photography skills. This workshop offers a combination of lectures, photo sessions and critiques to help you become a better photographer. You’ll learn techniques for creating compositions with power and impact while photographing elements of the natural world, including landscapes, gardens, flowers, birds and butterflies. This workshop is designed for photographers who are familiar with the basic controls of their cameras and want to improve their ability to produce visually captivating images.

Most of the workshop will be spent at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. At Meadowlark you’ll attend lectures and spend time photographing outside with the instructors. There will also be a morning photo session at Great Falls National Park. The instructors’ illustarted lectures will give you insights and tips for how to produce stunning images of nature. The photo sessions offer you the chance to apply what you learned in the lectures. Instructors will be available to work with you on improving your compositions and to answer questions about using your equipment. There will also be a critique to give you constructive feedback on your photos.
